Ochraceocentrata

Once circulated under the name “Natalensis,” Ochraceocentrata has recently been identified as a distinct species. Clinically researched for its anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties, ‘Ochra’s’ also offer a traditional microdose experience, delivering clear, radiant energy and emotional uplift.

Ochraceocentrata tests at a higher potency than many other strains, 0.639%, however, it does NOT feel like a strong microdose – it’s as if there is 0.3% for the brain, and 0.3% for the body.

Ochraceocentrata has been a favorite for those with arthritis, body aches, and injury recovery, even post-surgery recovery.

Ochraceocentrata was first discovered in South Africa in the late 1990s. For many years, it was circulated, cultivated, and clinically researched under the name Psilocybe natalensis.

In 2024, a pivotal research paper used DNA analysis to compare the genetics of the “Natalensis” strains in circulation with samples stored in a gene bank. The results revealed the genetics did not match. In fact, all of the so-called “Natalensis” in circulation turned out to belong to an entirely different species. Researchers subsequently proposed a new species name: Psilocybe ochraceocentrata.
